It all began on February 17, 1993, when Kent Taylor opened the first Texas Roadhouse in Clarksville, Indiana. Kent’s goal was to own not just a family restaurant and not just a steak restaurant, but a place where everyone, of all ages, could come and have a great meal and great fun for a great price. We like to brag about our Hand-Cut Steaks, Fall-Off-The-Bone Ribs, Made-From-Scratch Sides, and Fresh-Baked Bread. Everything we do goes into making our hearty meals stand out. We handcraft almost everything we serve. We provide larger portions so you get more food for your dollar. And if you want an Ice Cold Beer or Legendary Margarita to wash it all down — well, we have those, too. Our food’s not the only thing that’s Legendary at the Roadhouse — our fun is too! From our line dancers to our jukebox to our friendly servers, you’ll enjoy every second you spend in a Texas Roadhouse. At Texas Roadhouse our team has an incredible sense of pride in everything we do. Our passion ensures you have a Legendary Experience every time. Because of our passion for our guests and our communities, our team members are involved outside the restaurants in their local communities as a way to give back. The Texas Roadhouse story is simple. Legendary Food, Legendary Service® — all with lots of Legendary Fun! https://www.facebook.com/txrhPasadenaMD/

The weather was a cold 40 degrees on Nov. 11th for our 7th annual Veteran’s Day ceremony at the Rt. 100 Memorial Flag. It took many hands to make this a memorable day for our Veteran’s and active military. We want to “Thank” each and every one for attending, if it wasn’t for all of you we would not be afforded the freedoms that we each enjoy. We thank you for your service to our country and our community.

The Solley Cluster Girl Scouts that took over where the boy scouts left off; worked side by side with Himmels Farm & Garden & Ft. Meade Chief Petty Officers under the direction of Dotti Snyder, Retired Chief Kirk Towner, Adrienne Trout & Amanda Smith.

Northeast Vocal Ensemble under the direction of Sara DelSignor provided a wonderful array of patriotic songs throughout the ceremony. This was their 2nd year participating in the ceremony and they did a beautiful job, we thank you all.

We thank the students from Bodkin, Jacobsville & Pasadena Elementary schools for providing each veteran & active military “Thank you” cards & handmade wreaths. I will say that this was highlight of the day; I heard from several that they have the cards & wreaths proudly displayed in their homes for all to see.

We thank Rev. Henry Simon from Galilee Lutheran Church for presiding, The US Navy Honor Guard for the presentation of colors; Major Rick Barnes MD Defense Force Band for sounding “Taps” and Del. Nic Kipke for donating & paying tribute to WWII Veteran Sam Kemp (1920-2017) for his donation of the Flag, Flag Pole & Memorial Stone in 1993. Army Veteran Charlie Johns for his continued effort in keeping the area cut, trimmed & providing transport to and from the parking lot. Maher’s Florist for providing the wreath; Bay Country Rentals for the seating; Dick Parrish Design for the sound system; JB Machine for the electric & stage and Arundel Federal SB for the flags that were handed out, Paulette Morris Idea Weaver Promotions for the Veterans gifts & Vince Kelly FT Graphics for cannon signs.

We would also like to thank newcomers to the group the 29th Division Association who were instrumental in getting the 105MM Howitzers artefactual loans from the US Army; Odber Chapter Warfighters MC laying of the wreath and Colby Burl, local resident and WWII reenactor for bringing his collection of WWII & Vietnam artifacts for all to see.

Special thanks go out to County Executive Steve Schuh; Senator Brian Simonaire; Delegate Nic Kipke, Retired Scout Master Dan Demers; Dalton Nicklow Chesapeake HS & Morgan Mooney Mt. St. Joe who have been assisting the PBA with every event that we have held this year working towards their community service credits. Special thanks also to AA Co Rec. & Parks and AA Co Police for their participation.

As you can see it takes many hands to coordinate this ceremony for our community and on behalf of the flag committee Mike Jacobs JB Machine, Sandi Parrish PBA Ex. Director. Jerry Nicklow Huff Ins., Army Veteran Lois Gallagher Send out Cards & Lisa Hart Arundel Federal SB we pray for the continued safety of our military Brothers & Sisters.

Donations to the flag fund are welcome PBA Flag Fund PO BOX 861, Pasadena MD 21123-0861.
    God Bless America

Thanks to everyone who helped make this year’s parade another great success! What a great afternoon it turned out to be. Henry Schmidt, The Hancock’s Resolution Foundation and Friends of Hancock’s Resolution were our grand marshals this year. What a treasure we have in Pasadena.

We want to thank all of this year’s corporate sponsors – ACE Hardware & Hearth, Bay Country Rentals, Calvert Veterinary Center, Cityline Business Park, Frank & Bills Auto Collision Center, Friends of Downs Park, The Gable Company, Huff Insurance, Kurtz's Beach, Pasadena Pawn & Gun, P3 Paintball, Maryland Yacht Club as well as our community sponsors - Friends of Judge Mark Crooks, Jim Fredericks for Sheriff, and AM PM Marine.

Also thanks to Himmel’s Farm & Garden for providing the décor, flowers and hay bales for the reviewing station, Delegate Nic Kipke for again being our emcee, and the Anne Arundel County Police & Reserve officers for maintaining traffic. Mark your calendar’s for the first Sunday in November next year – we’ll be back!

After the parade concluded, we went to Chesapeake Christian Center to unload the food. Special thanks to the Northeast High School football team for helping with this unloading process. Thanks to Gable, Lauer’s Supermarket, and the community we were able to supply seven Pasadena church pantries. We want to thank the church members from Chesapeake Christian Center, Our Lady of the Chesapeake, Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Magothy United Methodist Church, and Community United Methodist Church for helping me sort all of the food.

For those that complain about the traffic for the two hours of the parade please look at the good this parade does other than just having fun. Food from this parade feeds many in our local neighborhoods who are in need. The picture below is the amount of food one pantry received—and we did this 7 times. AWESOME!
