Our August meeting was at Cheshire Crab and the food was outstanding. The crab cakes were delicious. Cheshire is under new ownership and will be open all year. John Giovanazi, Arundel Federal Savings Bank talked about Small Business Loans and what to expect from your lender. John had a member of the Small Business Association there to answer any questions the members had. It was a very informative meeting.

The dog days of summer are well upon us already. I’ll keep my message short this month, because I am sure you would rather enjoy your cold beverage of choice instead of reading a long drawn out message from me.

This is the time to dig down deep and make things happen for your business. It is easy to be on vacation mode this time of year and coast through the summer and chalk up a slow quarter to summer vacations. But it is also a great time to dig deep, build relationships and move your business forward. Before you know it, the 4th quarter of 2016 will be upon us and the time to plan for a strong finish to the year is now. So while you are out enjoying the summer, like we were at our annual crab feast at Kurtz’s beach a few weeks ago, or like we were at the 2nd annual Eastern District National Night Out on August 2nd, or at the monthly meeting held on August 3rd at Cheshire Crab, make sure you take the time to solidify your relationships with the community and with the other great business leaders of the PBA. These relationships will help your business grow and become and help it become an established and respected part of the Pasadena community.

So finish your summer strong, build great relationships and have a great 4th quarter of 2016. See you soon.

Dr. Ashley and his team are proud to serve pets and their families in the community of Pasadena and in an effort to give back to the community we serve, a portion of the hospital's profits goes to local animal shelters and animal rescue organizations in the community.

We hope everyone checked their listing in the new directory posted at the very bottom of the PBA website home page. We have gone to print. We will provide cases at the August meeting for any PBA member who would like to put them in their business or distribute to the community. We want to thank all of the members who put their ads in the directory and especially Maureen Agro, Cityline Business Park for being the editor again this year. She spent many hours editing this Membership Directory and Community Guide. We also want to thank Lisa Hart, Arundel Federal Savings Bank for helping proofread again this year.
