We held a Ribbon Cutting for Fifer’s Craft House & Deli and what a great time.  The children (including my grandchildren) painted a crab shell, they had bobbing for apples, and Katrina Krauss Photography/Freestate Photo Booths was there taking the pictures with many different props to choose from.  This is always a great hit for young and old.  This was an honor for me since I have known the twins, Billy & Richard since they were born and I am so pleased they have now opened up another business in Pasadena.  Stop in and check out their inventory and have a sandwich while shopping.

Our October General Membership Meeting was held at Cheshire Crab.  We want to thank Cheshire Crab for a great meal again and for reaching out to us to host another meeting.  We had a good crowd ready to hear what Kevin Aftung,  Director of Emergency Management, had to say about what his office does to keep this County running during a major storm.  We appreciate him taking the time to address our members.

Delegate Nic Kipke used our meeting as an opportunity to present a citation to Amy Fischer.   She administered CPR to a man until first responders arrived...he survived.  Kenny King P.E. Teacher and Steve Gorski Principal of Chesapeake High School, along with Delegate Nic Kipke posed for a photo.   We are so proud of Amy.

PBA held their first Coffee with a Cop thanks to McDonald’s of Riviera Beach.  This was a great way for the community to come in and meet those that serve and protect us every day.   We hope to do more of these and hope that you will stop by the next time and meet the Captain Urbas and Lt. Crosse and the officers from the Eastern District.  As you can see from the pictures young and not so young came out to say hello.

We held a Ribbon Cutting for Mike’s Pharmacy on October 1st.

It was a good turnout despite the weather.  Mike’s had a raffle drawing all week and gave away a football signed by Justin Tucker as well as $250 and $100 gift cards. Congratulations to the winners.

Senator Bryan Simonaire and Delegate Simonaire presented Mike with a citation. Lisa Hart from Arundel Federal Savings Bank and a PBA Board member presented a citation on behalf of County Executive Schuh. Patrick Mulford presented a citation for Councilman Derek Fink, Mike Phennicie presented a citation on behalf of BWI Airport, and PBA Vice President  Doug Cashmere presented a citation on behalf of the PBA.  We were able to cut the ribbon outside without getting too wet.  Stop in and see the Pharmacy and meet the nice people who work there.   They are willing to help you fill a prescription or find what you are looking for.  PBA welcomes Mike’s Pharmacy to the PBA and the Pasadena business community and wish them the best.

Our August meeting was at Cheshire Crab and the food was outstanding. The crab cakes were delicious. Cheshire is under new ownership and will be open all year. John Giovanazi, Arundel Federal Savings Bank talked about Small Business Loans and what to expect from your lender. John had a member of the Small Business Association there to answer any questions the members had. It was a very informative meeting.
