This year's crab feast on Wednesday, July 13 was another big success!

Attendees enjoyed a feast of delicious, heavy crabs as well as a spread of wonderful food from the culinary masters at Kurtz's Beach. Our June General Membership Meeting was held at Celebrations at the Bay. What a beautiful venue and the food was fantastic. We thank Catering by Uptown for hosting this event and putting on a great event for us.

We were so proud to give away scholarships to 5 High School Seniors, 3 Eighth Graders and 2 Fifth Graders this year. Congratulations to Caroline Schultz, Northeast High School who received the Isabel Shipley Cunningham Scholarship Award. This scholarship is in honor of Mrs. Isabel Shipley Cunningham, an Annapolis author and former teacher, who spent years writing both books. Brady Cassell, Northeast High School, was awarded the Ed Lauer Scholarship. Mr. Ed Lauer of Lauer’s Supermarket and Bakery was a founding member and first president of the Pasadena Business Association 30 years ago.

Adam Beres, Coral Dittmar & Nathan Plaza were also High School Seniors who were award scholarships. Rylee Columb, Brian Plummer, and Eric Zhang were awarded the 8th grade scholarships. Lillian Evans and Rachael Zabko were awarded the 5th grade scholarships.

We are so proud of each and every student. Please understand that reading and deciding the winners is not an easy task. Mary Brodowski of BB&T and Linda Loane of The Bank of Glen Burnie volunteered for that task. I know it was a hard decision.

Thank you to the Education Committee for their efforts in making this a great event. Thanks to Katrina Williams of Katrina Krauss Photography/Free State Photo Booths for taking the great pictures for the day.
